Recycled sawdust litter in our workshop

This mixture of sawdust from the suction of our machines is the recycled product par excellence.

This extra dry litter has a great absorption capacity.

We strongly recommend, however, not to use this litter on its own and mix it with our woodchip / hemp litter.

Indeed, the sawdust being very fine, it is a highly absorbent material. This is a positive point for use as a composting toilet litter.

However, its advantage is also its weakness and its fineness also causes the compost to suffocate if it is used alone.

It should be remembered that compost needs air to follow its decomposition process under good conditions.
If you only use sawdust, your compost may suffocate.


In addition, this sawdust, resulting from cutting in our workshops contains traces of glue due to the cutting of elements such as plywood panels and three massive folds.
One more reason to use this sawdust in addition to other litter that is coarser and composed only of raw vegetable matter.
